The construction of a submersible bridge, which has been underway since last fiscal year in the Sagaing region of northern Myanmar, is progressing steadily.
Of the 208 m bridge length, JIP will build the 152 m portion on the TABAW side, while the remaining 56 m will be constructed by the Myanmar Ministry of construction, Department of Local Road Development. Only 2 spans of slab remain to be constructed by JIP.
If construction proceeds smoothly, the structure is expected to be completed in April and open to traffic in May. residents are eagerly awaiting its completion, as the rainy season begins at the end of May. We will keep a watchful eye on the progress of the construction.
